Help
IQRCrossword is a crossword site you use in the browser. It is not a full offline app: creating and saving puzzles needs a network connection. Play progress is stored on your device and, when possible, also saved on our servers.
Play
Open a puzzle from the home page or from a shared link. Fill the grid from the clues. Some puzzles allow letter hints (this may reduce your score). When you finish, you can see your time and score and, if the puzzle has a leaderboard, how you compare.
Guest vs account
You can play without signing in. This device is then a guest (shown as a name like iqr-XXXX). Progress stays with this browser. If you later log in on the same device, we can attach that guest progress to your account.
With an account you can change your nickname, keep plays across devices after login, and create puzzles. You may sign in with Google, or with email and a password after we send a verification code. Use “Forgot password?” on the login page if you need to set or reset that password.
Create and publish
Log in, then create a puzzle: grid, clues, and optional topic notes for AI suggestions. Save often while editing. Publish when you want others to play. You can hide a puzzle from the public home page, share a link, or remove it later. Deleted puzzles may still show a short notice if someone opens an old link.
Language and account
Use the language setting under Account (English, 简体中文, 繁體中文). Nickname, AI key (optional), and “interest” recommendations (puzzles related to what you have played) are under Account. You can turn those recommendations off.
Home screen (PWA)
“Install on home screen” adds a shortcut. It does not download a separate program and does not make the whole app work offline. If the web address of the site changes, remove the old icon and install again from the new address.
